The doctor’s recommendations should be followed carefully. Especially the use of medicines, lotions and shampoos should not be disrupted. So much so that for 3 weeks only the use of lotions and shampoos recommended by the doctor is recommended.
It is important to keep the cultivated area hygienic, but this area should not be washed for 2 days after the operation. The first wash should be done 48 hours after the hair transplant by the specialist physician and his team. When the hair starts to be washed after the operation, a blow dryer should not be used for the drying process, since high temperature will damage the scalp and the transplanted hair.
During the first week, heavy sports, excitement and stress should be avoided. Light sports can be done a week later.
The first 15 days after the operation should not be exposed to direct sunlight. If it is necessary to go out in this process, an accessory to cover the head area should be used.
Alcohol and blood thinners should not be used within the period specified by the doctor. These substances can cause bleeding.
It is recommended to lie down in a semi-sitting position. It is important to sleep with the head upright in the early days, as the pillow can cause grafts to come off.
Chemical products such as jelly, hair spray, conditioner, lotion and topic should not be used for at least three weeks after the operation.
The scalp should be kept dry for the first three weeks to eliminate scaling.
Hair should be shortened with scissors instead of a shaver for at least 6 months.
To prevent infection, excessive sweating and dust should be avoided.
Besides all this, it is normal for most of the hair transplanted within 4-6 weeks to fall out after the operation; this process is called shock spill phase. The transplanted hair starts to grow after 3-3.5 months, and the final appearance is obtained at the end of 7 months.
